Today's calligraphy work

I had a couple calligraphy projects this week!  The first was a package of table numbers and menus going to Concept Events Design for their display table.  Natrually, I packed the whole thing up quite pretty and addressed it in white opaque ink!

I had an invitation shipment this week...the post office loves to see how I address the boxes - they always get a kick out of me insisting I apply the postage stickers myself so they dont make my pretty box look ugly.  Wouldnt you love to recieve a package like this?
A couple more that got sent out this week:
white opaque ink on seaglass invitations
metallic purple on blush envelopes:
avacado opaque ink on indigo envelopes:

This weeks calligraphy project

Not a huge calligraphy project this week, but I got to send one overseas, and I always like that!  I dont  usually use black ink, so I got a bit crazy on this one and ventured out.

Sloop Calligraphy Font

The newest font added to our calligraphy repertoire is called Sloop, and is my personal favorite thus far! It mimics the actual font called Sloop, which we use in designs fairly often. The Sloop calligraphy font will be a tier 2 font with prices starting at $3 an envelope.

Here are some samples of the Sloop Calligraphy in action:
The designs were done for the October meeting of the San Diego chapter of The Association of Bridal Consultants held at the Wild Animal Park.

Calligraphy Samples

I have been working on calligraphy samples to deliver to the Paper Source store up in Carlsbad for them to show their clients in need of pretty envelopes. Prices fall under two tiers, and here are a couple quick pictures of how they all turned out:

Coronado Rehearsal Dinner invitations

I also helped Courtney with her rehearsal dinner invitations. She wanted something playful, bright, and fun for their dinner at a Mexican Restaurant in Coronado. We used a goldenrod yellow with purple to create the look she was going for:

Calligraphy for Sarah's outter envelopes

Ive spent the last couple days working on the calligraphy for Sarah's wedding invitations. I ended up doing the outter envelopes, addressing the return address envelopes and doing a little monogram on the inner envelope. Here are some quick shots of the addresses:

More pics of her seaside invitations to follow shortly!

More of {Jennys Shower}

All of her {bridal shower invitations} had calligraphy in white ink on green paper. They were then triple layered and stitched along the edges. A silver mini binder clip held the two pieces together and they were outfitted with a grey #10 envelope.

All other signage for the even was also had calligraphy in either white or black ink.
